Last week I had the opportunity to visit the community gardens in Quincy, IL.
Just think: if we had all of our farmers market sellers donate their product that won’t make it to next market, we had people with home gardens donating their extra, and community gardens that produced for local food pantries- just imagine how much fresh food we’d have for our hungry families!
Fresh, nutritious food that may be too expensive for families at the grocery store.
Food grown by community members with helping others in mind.
Food with a purpose.
